Jim Obermaier is President and Founder of Jenner Group, Inc. Jim has more than Jim Obermaier20 years of experience in program and project management, having run projects in a variety of organizations including health care, utilities, pharmaceutical, government, and non-profits throughout the United States.

Jim’s areas of expertise include stakeholder relations, business case development, business process reengineering, IT systems analysis, and organizational and program assessment. Jim has deep communications experience including facilitating focus groups, interviewing subject matter experts, and presenting to audiences ranging from executive management to individual contributors. Additional areas of expertise include strategic business planning, feasibility studies, and cost / benefit analysis.

A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Jim has lead project teams of over 300 individuals as well as virtual teams located on three continents. In addition to project planning and implementation experience, Jim has several years of experience in professional services firm management and business development. As solution delivery director at a large business and information technology consulting firm, Jim built a Project Management Office that included a team of over 250 consultants supporting an annual project portfolio of over $25 million while growing profitability by 20 percent.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Active in community affairs, Jim currently serves on the board of Storytelling Arts of Indiana and is a past board member of the YMCA and PMI-Central Indiana Chapter. An avid runner, Jim lives in Indianapolis with his wife and two children.
